Leila Dean to stand as Tory candidate

Breaking news: Green slop throwing Leila Dean has announced this morning that she is to stand for the Conservative Party at the next election.

Hidden amongst the G20 news the BBC announced that David Cameron had "welcomed" Dean into the party saying that although "the Conservative Party did not condone direct action, the issue of climate change was of such vital importance that it is understandable when passions run high."

Well that sounds like he does condone direct action to me, but presumably only when the Tories are in opposition.

Dean will be standing in Mandelson's old seat of Hartlepool and is unlikely to win a seat at the coming election, but no doubt she will feel she has put in the hard graft required to win over tens of thousands of voters in a place she has never lived.

There's only one way to get green - and that's to vote Green!
