Further to the previous post about online tools telling you how to vote, even though you know already, the New Statesman has it's very own Fantasy Mayor application.
Unlike last time it actually turned out I was backing the right candidate with nine of my answers matching Sian Berry, two for Ken Livingstone and a surprise solitary match for Brian Paddick.
Actually, my fantasy Mayor would be a twelve story high robot with a spiked tail and a hammer and sickle stamped on his steel buttocks but for now this will have to do.
Oh, and one more thing. The Green election broadcast airs tonight (18.55 on BBC and ITV) and those who've had sneak previews are all giggly with excitement describing it as "visually stunning" and "ground-breaking".
You will be able to view it at Sian for Mayor come the appropriate moment but for those who cannot wait there are advance stills to be found at flickr.

How much difference do you think a good/bad PEB makes?
I've never been convinced that it makes much of a difference at all, but people whom I respect beg to differ, so....
Matt
I think you could really eff things up with a bad one, and in terms of motivating your supporters it's very useful - on it's own of course it means very little.
But I think attention to detail and a good campaign can make a real difference (for good or ill) so whilst we shouldn't take it out of context as part of the whole I think a good PEB is very useful indeed.
I got 9 Sians and 3 Kens, but the Ken ones were Green policies he took up anyway, so I guess Sian 1 Ken 2 it is - no surprises there!
I think it's important we mention policies in our PEBs and don't have the candidates singing or rapping - that one didn't go down too well, and we still have a few of the bloody CDs kicking around somewhere too!
Right, sunny day, leafleting to be done . . .
oh bother, don't know why it just called me Ladywell - that was me above anyway!
I got the same Sue, 9 Sians and 3 green Kens... not that I can vote in London just yet!
"don't have the candidates singing or rapping"
Tell me this didn't really happen? :-O
Oh god no.
not the rapping thing again. I'd almost wiped it out of my mind.
Jesus H Christ - the horror.
Matt
I have the voice of an angel, so I think we should reconsider this no singing ban.
If they had me tap dancing on a huge mushroom and then I'd burst into some gregorian chanting (to take the viewer off guard like) listing our key policy areas whilst holding up pictures of sad kittens and children...
Can't think why they didn't ask me to design the broadcast come to think of it - I've got loads of ideas!
After all that I missed all but the last twenty seconds of it! What did people think?
Just looked to see if 'Paint the whole world Green' was on YouTube and, fortunately, it isn't.
Thought tonight's broadcast was good, and could go down in party history as one of the better ones, along with this one (think it was 1999) and I liked the Alex Cox one with the Franz Ferdinand music too, though others didn't (and when Channel 4 accidentally broadcast it with UKIP's subtitles, it wasn't so good, but more surreal than even your giant mushroom suggestion.
Sue, you're just not down with the kids. And their hippety-hop rap music.
:)
Matt
No, it was more like when William Hague wore the baseball cap, honestly.
Just saw the PEB. Thought it was excellent! Well done to all involved.
