Good news at last. Greenpeace, those dirty commie anarchists, have forced the government to go back and start again on nuclear power.
Greenpeace say "The government's decision to back a new fleet of nuclear power stations in the UK was "legally flawed", the High Court has heard...
"The energy review... failed as a "full public consultation" because it did not present clear proposals and information on key issues surrounding a new generation of nuclear power stations, such as dealing with radioactive waste and financial costs."
According to the BBC "The judge said information given on waste had been "not merely inadequate but also misleading... There could be no proper consultation, let alone the fullest consultation, if the substance of these two issues was not consulted on before a decision was made,"
As I mentioned before nuclear power is not a long term solution to harmful emissions, it's dangerous, it provides a target for terrorists (of both state and individual varietes), it produces waste we can't deal with and the only option that provides real energy security are renewables.
Nuclear power is not a global solution to the global problem of climate change - but the issue is a convenient one for the government to push their toxic agenda.
Personally, I'd like to see this country revitalise the manufacturing industry through a massive programme of investment in renewable energy technology and production which we would then sell at cost to those that can afford to buy or give as aid to those countries too poor to afford clean energy. But that's just me I guess.

"Dirty, Dangerous and Expensive" - are we talking Nuclear Power or Government?
It is funny how long its been since Chernobyl, it's like mass amnesia about nuclear danger is spreading like the plague.
